organizing, developing and implementing the overall legal policy at the NBU
providing legal assistance to the NBU’s units and protection of their interests in courts in line with the laws of Ukraine
representing (self-representing) the NBU in courts
providing legal assistance in responding to requests for banking services from banks, legal entities, and individuals, requests from nonbank financial institutions and other entities other than financial institutions but entitled to provide certain financial services within the limits set by the Law of Ukraine On Financial Services and State Regulation of Financial Services Markets, as well as requests from legal entities and individuals for providing financial services
defining and developing methodological framework for applying rule-making techniques in developing the NBU’s regulations and administrative orders, providing legal support in the NBU regulatory activities
organizing work on reviewing and finalizing the draft laws of Ukraine, submitted for a consideration of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, or submitted to the NBU by the public authorities or other entities
providing legal assistance to the NBU in exercising its functions and powers in line with Ukrainian law.
