Map of POWER BANKING Branches: Now in Diia App

Bank branches that are part of the POWER BANKING network and that can operate even during long blackouts are, from this point forward, available on the Points of Invincibility map in the government-supported app Diia.

Thanks to cooperation between the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, everyone in Ukraine will now be able to quickly find information about bank branches that stay open and provide customers with banking services during protracted power and communication outages.

“Putting the POWER BANKING branches on the Diia app’s map comes as another important step in ensuring public safety and convenient access to banking services in emergencies. We are grateful to our colleagues from the Ministry of Digital Transformation for making it possible,” said NBU Governor Andriy Pyshnyy.

To view the Points of Invincibility map in Diia, tap on Services at the bottom of the screen, and then tap on Resilience. Now tap on Filters below, then on Banking in the list of amenities, and finally on Apply Filter. The POWER BANKING branches will appear on the map. This will enable users to quickly and conveniently access banking services in erratic wartime conditions. The map can also be downloaded to gadgets for offline use.

As previously reported, POWER BANKING is an NBU-established network of Ukrainian bank branches that can provide banking services in emergencies, including during long blackouts.

This unique project spans almost all of the country’s banks and currently comprises about 2,400 branches, throughout Ukraine, that are furnished with alternative energy sources, backup communication channels, enhanced cash collection capabilities, and additional staff. POWER BANKING makes up almost 55% of all bank branches (except for closed ones or those located in russian-occupied territories and areas where hostilities are ongoing or likely to erupt).

For reference

The map of POWER BANKING branches is also available on the NBU’s website.

Individuals with questions about how POWER BANKING operates can call the NBU at 0–800–505–240 or write to [email protected] using a special form.

The banking network’s branches can be identified by the POWER BANKING mark on their entrances. It indicates that the branch is equipped to work during long power outages.
